Forte offers Citrix technologies as cloud services

Managed Service Provider Forte Netservices has extended its partnership with Citrix. Forte will now offer Citrix-based technologies as cloud services under a Citrix Service Provider agreement. So far, Forte has operated as Citrix Solution Provider.

Forte offers data communication and security services on a monthly fee basis. Purchasing Citrix technologies such as Access Gateway and NetScaler as cloud services is highly a cost-efficient and flexible solution for client organizations, since clients only pay for actual utilization. Furthermore, they won't need to acquire hardware or software licenses, nor worry about the level of Citrix knowledge within the company.

- Purchasing Citrix technologies as cloud services is convenient. Under the new partnership agreement, Forte can now offer the knowledge and experience gained in large business operations to the benefit of SMBs, says Heikki Niemelä, Country Manager of Citrix Finland.

Forte's certified experts are responsible for maintenance and monitoring of Citrix services 24/7.

- Forte has installed Citrix technology to dozens of large business clients and hosting companies in the last four years. Recently, our clients have started looking for possibilities to abandon their maintenance and support contracts for Citrix gateways and other hardware, says Hannu Rokka, CEO of Forte Netservices.

Cloud service based Citrix Access Gateway can be supplemented with an easy to use and strong secure user identification service that integrates transparently to Citrix XenServer farms.

- Companies want to outsource gateway solutions to a third party specialized to data communication and security. Purchasing solutions as cloud services is a flexible and cost-efficient model also with Citrix technologies, Rokka says.

- We are convinced that offering our products as cloud-based services will become increasingly common in the future, says Niemelä.
